We have never met anyone so poised and set for excellence. She is humble, graceful and elegantly beautiful. With a sweet and calm spirit, she is a supporter with a genuine heart. We say this with all sincerity.
Phylicia has always been a client of Template. She is a joy and we have had the pleasure of working together on several events.
When Phylicia came to us last spring to begin her wedding stationery journey, we were truly honoured.
Knowing her style of simple elegance, neutral colours with a balanced amount of bold accents, we were quickly able to create an invitation suite that was pleasuring to her.
Phylicia chose a classic design that was fitting for her and fiancé Tenaj nuptials. A two-tiered invitation on metallic cardstocks with matching envelope and reception/response card, was perfect to set the tone for their day.
A monogram empathizing their fun, youthful and authentic love was created for them. Their envelopes were addressed and monogram seals were done for the envelop closure.
All was set for a beautiful summer wedding. However due to COVID-19, lockdowns and curfews dictated that their day be rescheduled…a few times. Phylicia and Tenaj were disappointed but not shaken.
Plans were changed. The guest list adjusted. New vendors were introduced. This did increase the stress level tremendously. Our Bride Phylicia remained calm, even though it was was overwhelming.
We suggested to Phylicia a wedding planner to assist in keeping things on track as there were so many uncertainties and new information that were changing daily.
We recommended Pink Sands Events.
As a partner with this new and upcoming company, they specialize in minimonies. Keeping details straight and organized gives brides and grooms a welcomed peace of mind for an intimate, safe and pleasing event.
Upon arrival to the tranquil gardens of Sapodilla for the nuptials, the décor was skillfully done by Island Destinations.
As all protocol requirements were established and met, Pink Sands Events made sure the seating for both wedding and reception were achieved for a seamless afternoon. The team at Sapodilla too were very accommodating and were very easy to work with.
Even though the wedding date had changed to October from August, it was still fairly warm. Along with programs guests were given straw fans provided by Template to keep cool in the tranquil setting.
The programs were tea length double sided which were just Phylicia’s style. Not too cumbersome for an outdoor soirée and easy to follow along.
Strings and Things were a marvel as melodious
music filled the gardens.
The bridal party processional began. As Phylicia’s dad Sir Algernon Allen walked her proudly to meet Tenaj, guests could not help to marvel at the beautiful bride.
Just close family and friends, they were so proud of her as the lovely intimate setting made everyone feel welcomed.
It was very private and intimate affair as the government’s protocols were adhered. Dame Justice Anita Allen the bride’s mom, took great delight in the formalities of the ceremony by reading the scripture lesson.
As the couple said their vows led by Pastor Braddick Cleare of Evangelistic Temple Church, the couple beamed with so much love under the beautifully decorated pavilion.
In front of just a few witnesses, the couple who were joined in hearts when they agreed to marry, were now officially promised to each other forever.
Guests were then led to another spacious garden at Sapodilla for an afternoon reception. As guests entered, they sanitized their hands, kept social distanced, and proceeded towards the guest book and wishing well where they wrote notes to the newlyweds.
These items are also available to Template.
A remembrance table was there for everyone to pay homage to those very special loved ones.
It was a beautiful setting with beautiful tablescapes and elegant décor. Favours provided by Template were at each sitting for the guests to take home. It was a very mellow reception as guests indulged in delicious appetizers and delightful drinks.
Even though the time was short because of the curfew, toasts were given from the heart, making the occasion even more memorable.
The couple cut their delectable cake.
Said their thank you’s.
And even had a first dance.
Minimonies are so intimate and when they are well planned and managed they turn out better than expected.
Now that they have their first crisis of a pandemic that they handled beautifully under their belt, we wish this wonderful couple all the magic, mystery, adventure, romance, fun and fireworks that a new love brings forever!
